FantaSEA, Nefertiti and Octopus, Number 1 is the painting that gave birth to Julie Siracusa's FantaSEA series. A world where one of history's most iconic queens becomes forever intertwined with the mysteries of the sea.

Crowned not with gold, but with the graceful reach of an octopus, Nefertiti emerges as a guardian of the ocean. The flowing tentacles create movement throughout the composition while a single glowing eye peers from the darkness, a quiet reminder of the remarkable intelligence and curiosity that make the octopus one of the ocean's most extraordinary creatures.

Bathed in cool blues and rich indigos, the painting balances elegance with mystery. As in much of Siracusa's work, light becomes a storyteller. It gently illuminates Nefertiti's face while inviting viewers to look deeper, discovering beauty hidden beneath the surface.
